Common questions about working with Vast Chiropractic

Click a question for the answer — and reach out any time if yours isn't here.

Do You Accept Insurance?

We are "out-of-network" for all insurance companies and payment is expected at the time of service. We do this to ensure the highest quality of care is built around your goals, not insurance limits. However, we will be able to provide you with a "superbill" (includes medical billing codes) that you can submit independently to your insurance provider. Every policy is different, so you will need to check with your insurance provider about coverage with out-of-network providers and to determine if they will be able to reimburse you.

Do You Accept HSA/FSA/HRA Payment?

We welcome payment through HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Account), or HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement). We also accept Visa or Mastercard as forms of payment.

What Should I Expect In The Initial Visit?

On the initial visit, we start our session by listening to you and understanding your struggle with your body, followed by a detailed assessment of your complaints to seek out the root cause of your dysfunction. Then we'll create a comprehensive treatment plan that's customized for you, and we'll work together towards your goals.

How Long Does A Session Last?

Your initial assessment and treatment (new patient) takes approximately one hour. Follow-up visits range from 20–30 minutes in length depending on a variety of factors. Double appointments for follow-up visits are also available.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

We reserve your appointment time for you specifically. We also understand unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's life, but in our desire to be fair to all patients and maintain a viable practice, the following policies are honored:

  • Cancellation: at least 24 hours' advance notice is required (no charge) for any cancellation.
  • Late cancellation: if the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, you will be billed for 50% of the visit cost.
  • No shows: if you did not show at the appointment without giving us any notice, you will be billed for 100% of the visit cost.
Can I See A Chiropractor If I'm Pregnant?

Yes! Pregnant mothers often find that treatment at Vast Chiropractic & Rehab helps with pregnancy discomforts, like sciatica, mid-back and low back pain due to a shift in center of gravity. The strength training also helps with post-partum rebound!

I Don't Want To Be Adjusted. Is This A Necessary Part Of The Treatment?

Every patient is unique. Chiropractic adjustments are recommended for certain conditions to achieve maximum recovery efficiency, but they are not absolutely necessary. It is just one of the tools in our toolkit. We will take time to explain the contributing factors to your conditions/symptoms and the spectrum of recommended treatment options with their associated benefits to you. You'll always be in control of the treatment you receive.

Can You Help Me With My Injury/Condition/Symptoms?

The answer is yes, as long as the complaint you have is muscle, nerve, tendon, ligament, or joint-related. We have experience with injuries and have a broad range of tools to treat most injuries. If you have any questions about a specific condition or injury before coming to your initial session, feel free to contact us and we'll answer that for you.

"Mae listened carefully as I described my pain and worked with me through a series of questions and motions, to determine my flexibility. She quickly assessed the situation, and began treatment. After that, she gave me some "homework" exercises, so I could address my pain on my own at home. All the while, Mae was attentive, interested, and focused. I felt very comfortable with her, and I'm looking forward to my next treatment."

Willy V.

"Mae has done amazing work for me. I had a debilitating upper back issue that left me writhing in pain during a long run where I had to limp about two miles home. After three procedures I am back to nearly 100% normal, which I find remarkable. Thank you for the great work, Mae!"
